Biography
Katie Kaiser is a managing director at Pearl Meyer (Blake Street Group). She brings over two decades of human capital experience working in corporate and private investment sponsor settings, where she has led leadership assessment, executive placement, and succession planning endeavors. As a trusted advisor to investors, Boards, and CEOs alike, she guides leadership selection, development, and organizational reviews to ensure companies scale effectively.
Previously, Katie spent seven years at Serent Capital, a growth private equity firm where she led the Human Capital function for the portfolio and served on the Senior Leadership Group of the Investment Committee. In that role, she assessed CEOs and management teams during due diligence, placed dozens of portfolio CEOs and hundreds of C-suite executives, and managed calibration and performance review processes portfolio-wide.
Prior to joining Serent, Katie spent six years as the Vice President of Executive Talent at McKesson Corporation, which was #5 on the Fortune 500 during her tenure. Based in San Francisco and working closely with the CEO and Executive Committee of McKesson, she was responsible for the executive placement and succession planning of the 200 most senior leadership roles of the 80,000 global employee base.
The foundation of Katie’s career was built in a variety of operational and leadership roles at leading organizations including Creative Artists Agency, Walt Disney Pictures, Nike, Yahoo!, the Smithsonian Institution, and Korn/Ferry International. For ten years she also served as a Member of the Board of Trustees of KFF, a non-profit, private operating foundation that focuses on healthcare policy research, analysis, and journalism. She was the Vice Chair of the KFF Board and served on both the Finance & Investment Committee and the Selection & Governance Committee.
Katie earned her bachelor’s degree in Sociology & Education from Dartmouth College and her MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
