Commitment to Clients

My goal is to serve you as a trusted advisor and to provide an informed point of view to help you make the best decisions for your company when it comes to executive compensation.

Jim DeVerna is a vice president at Pearl Meyer. He specializes in a broad range of executive compensation matters and has experience consulting with clients on the design, implementation, administration, and tax consequences of various compensation arrangements. He advises clients on short- and long-term incentive plans, both qualified and non-qualified deferred compensation programs, equity compensation plans, and severance arrangements. His clients include public, private, and not-for-profit companies that range from early-stage startups to mature Fortune 500 companies.

Prior to joining Pearl Meyer, Jim was a consultant with Aon where he supported life sciences and technology clients as they developed executive pay strategies and dealt with a wide range of executive compensation issues.

He earned a BA from New York University, a JD from Vermont Law School, and an LLM in taxation and employee benefits from the Georgetown University Law Center. Jim is a member of the New York Bar and the Colorado Bar.

At Pearl Meyer, we work with boards and organizations to design and implement compensation and leadership strategies that build great management teams.
