The California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”) and the California Privacy Rights Act (“CPRA”), fully operative on January 1, 2023, provide certain privacy rights to residents of California. This addendum to the Pearl Meyer Website Privacy Policy applies if you are a natural person who is a resident of California (“California Consumer”) and we have collected information from you. This Addendum supplements the information in the Pearl Meyer Website Privacy Policy by explaining your privacy rights if you are a California resident, providing our “notice at collection,” and providing certain mandated disclosures about our treatment of California residents’ information, online. This Notice is intended solely for, and is applicable only to, California Consumers. If you are not a California Consumer (or a resident of California), this Notice does not apply to you and you should not rely on it.

Notice of Collection of Personal Information

We may collect the personal information categories listed in the table below. The table also lists, for each category, our expected retention period and whether we sell the information or share it with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Use of Personal Information

CCPA Mandatory Disclosures

We disclose your personal information for a business purpose to the following categories of third parties:

  • Our affiliates.
  • Service providers and contractors.
  • Third parties to whom you or your agents authorize us to disclose your personal information in connection with products or services we provide to you.

California Rights and Choices

California Consumers have the right to request that we disclose what personal information we collect from you, to delete that information, and to opt-out of the sale of your personal information, subject to certain restrictions without being discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

Right to Opt-out of the Sale of Your Personal Information:

California residents may opt out of the sale of their personal information. However, Pearl Meyer does not sell any personal information.

Right to Request Deletion of Your Personal Information:

California residents may also request that we delete any personal information that we collected from you. If you wish to exercise this right, you may email dataprivacy@pearlmeyer.com with the subject line “Delete My Personal Information” or calling us at (508) 460-9600.

Should you exercise your deletion right, please note that we may retain personal information for certain important purposes described in the Pearl Meyer Website Privacy Policy. Additionally, we need certain types of information so that we can provide our services to you. If you ask us to delete your personal information, you may no longer be able to access or use our services.

Right to Request Access to Your Personal Information:

California residents also have the right to request that we disclose what categories or specific pieces of your personal information we collect, use, or sell, provided such a request can be verified to a legally sufficient degree.

You may request access to the categories personal information that we have collected from you by emailing dataprivacy@pearlmeyer.com with the subject line: “Request for My Personal Information.” While we may be able verify such requests for certain details we have collected, in line with guidance issues by the California Attorney General, we do not believe we are able to provide location data in response to such a request because we are not able to verify to a reasonably high degree that the personal information we have collected pertains to the person who has submitted the request, or whether either the person in possession of a device or the person requesting the information is the actual device owner.

Thus, if you are uncomfortable with your device information being used in the ways described above, we recommend that you request an “opt out” of your information as described above.]

Shine the Light

California’s “Shine the Light” law (Civil Code Section § 1798.83) permits users of our website that are California residents to request certain information regarding our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes.
